Engine locked up, can hear tuff rattling when I hit the pan.

Got off the highway this morning and my engine blew out as I was slowing down. When you knock on the bottom of the pan you can hear metal clunking about.

What a day, at least it didn’t happen up north...

how bad do you guys think it’ll be ? I’m guessing bent rods and bad crankshaft? Hopefully it’s salvageable, these engines are hard to find up here

Honestly, we have less of an idea than you do. You can see/hear what it's doing when you tap on the oil pan while we can't.
