engine block flush?

Ok i started the clean up of the 6.9 i have. Took off the water outlet and thermostat and there is rust from water sitting in the block....flush it and with what or don't use it???

Crawl underneath and you will see block drain plugs on either side of the block underneath the exhaust manifolds. Take both of those out, and there is also one on the oil filter housing you can take out. Then use regular water to flush it out. These drains will get ALL the water out, so you do not have to worry about hard water laying in the block after you are done.

Thanks...im just trying to get the rust out so i dont mess up the water pump or heater coil....guess I could flush it the best I can and do the coolant filter mod....didn't known about the drain plugs for the block thanks again...
