I only want a motor that has originally come in a vehicle badged as Ford or IH that is not a cummins
HX40's came stock on 8.3l cummins, suppose that's what it was?
If you went with a Cummins you could keep your C6 Trans with the right adapter.
Or find the right c6 as they came behind cumstains in Ford 7k+'s in a factory application.

I get loving a 401 (Blue Oval BABY!) or a 360, (Powered by IH!!) but before you discuont a ******** altogether, they are a decent motor.

From where you see my Kids hand, to the front of the pulleys will be 40" on a 6.6.. Little longer I believe on a 7.8

Odds are if it's not a spittng image of this motor, its not a 6.6 or 7.8.. So that would make me think its a ******** if a 6. Could be a Kitty too, but one would think the ***** yaller would give that away from 100 yards.

Has water in the 7l0, $400.
Replacing the IDI in my truck next spring maybe? should be an effortless 350-400/ 875-1000 for the output hp/tq #'s.
My "guru" says the 6.6 pretty consistently maintains a 1hp:2.5 ft lb ratio... sitting at 200/550 stock... HX 35 (or any in that stocker ******** familia) and some fuel tweaking/guv'nor tweaking.. IC.. should be able to get it right up there.
