Door int panels interchangable?

OK quick one, I can't find a definite answer to-

I am fed up with the crappy power window and lock switches on my '84 doors...not to mention that the interior panels themselves are pretty shot. The boneyard has plenty of '87+ panels, but no '84-'86 ones. Will these fit right on to my older doors? Can I just change the panels and wire up to the newer-style switches, or would I need to change the whole door?

Yes, pretty much-- but did you have to change the armrest support bracket or drill extra trim-pin holes? Or is it just a pop-on/pop-off thing?

on off the pannel to the dash wont line up as good but itll fit and work
david is anything original on that thing i think youres is worse than mine with not original parts

Origanal um origanl sucks modified is the way to go

Its been so long now that i cant even remeber what i done, just get the panels you want and just test fit them and find out what you will need to do to make them work, its usaully not much,

I do remember one thing tho, i had to trim the area around the wing window on the 93 door panels so it would let the wing window work, but if one were touse door panels from a 87-91 then no trimming should be required

ya cause the slight difference in the door design they also did taht slip at the bottom
but 80-91 are the same molds

The armrest support bracket is in a different spot and the door lock mechanism might be different too but that's just a matter of swapping to the later upright lock arm. The hole for it is already in the door.
