does my 91 have electronic or vacum actuated cruise because I am trying to figure out wth happened to it and the tech article says electronic. If it is electronic which pins is the article talking about.

Look under the hood near the firewall on the driver side, there should be a canister that has a cable that runs to the IP. If this canister also has vacuum lines coming out of it, then you have a vacuum cruise system. This is how mine was.

Actually you have both electric and vacuum control cruise control. The vacuum is what makes it work and the electrical does the hunting for the signal. The siganl comes from the speed senser switch. RPM wont tell the cruise control how fast you are driving. 2000 rpm in 1st gear is much differant than 2000 rpm in 3rd gear....
