40 over on a 6.9 is not a problem.. Its shops telling you this is a problem. A 40 over on a 7.3 will probably be a problem because... Guess what... Those cylinders are thin from the factory casting shifts. Getting the best inforamtion is very difficult these days. This forum has more hands on experiance whan any "shop" or dealership on the planet... As for this pictured engine.... I'm not seeing what the seller is laying down. Look closely at the engine. Is that an old valley pan with a rattle can sprayon rebuild or what.. The description tells us something about heads ready to be bolted on after being rebuilt. But it looks like those heads are bolted to that block. A dirty overspray on the intake... Sorry but I'm just not seeing a rebuilt engine like I feel the seller is trying to convince a buyer it is.
" heads reworked and ready to bolt together"
Hmmmm that picture showes a set of heads bolted on with a new set of VR head gaskets, so either he did some more work and took another picture, or swiped someones pic off the web and is lieing through his teeth
Considering internet track records...... I'd have to go with the latter
