My clutch engages very late. Is it easy to adjust of should I take it in to a shop and have it done? I do have some of the manuals.

Thanks, Mark

the clutch in my IH used to engage really late, or high up by the dash. the shop told me it was normal, I told them to adjust it b/c I didn't like it, but they said the adjusting nut under the truck was frozen?! I think there are two adjustments, one on the firewall and one under on the tranny itself. but I don't know what the actual adjustments are, sorry

Thanks Don

I had the person at the dealership tell me it needed adjusting but at that time they had just replaced 2 rear rotors and calipers($1300) and I didn't have enough funds to cover both. I'm going to steam clean the underside of the rig today and then crawl under to look things over.

you should be able to see the adjustment on the firewall (engine side) where the linkage comes form inside the cab.
