well its come to this. i have some horrible noises coming from within the engine and i need to check for injector knock.

one question though, is cracking the line while the truck is running dangerous with the pressures involved?

I might need to do this soon as well, been hearing some intermittent ticking sometimes.

Just so I'm ready.. Fuel is going to spray everywhere, right?

Yes, first it will just bubble out then when you open it further you will get fuel spooging out.

you dont need to open the line up a lot to check for injector knock, just crack the line nut to let a small amount of fuel out. when you crack open the line you will be letting the presure out of the line so the injector will not pop open and spray fuel, when you find the injector that is not working correctly the knock will go away when the line is opened
