Selling the Brooklyn bridge

Making you younger and richer

Sounds familiar...

Way back like 10 years ago we had some clown come in stating that he would make a daily driver with 400 whp....
He left tail tucked.
Yes 400 has been done, no it's not viable.

All things done by these shop owners that "drive by" the forum to make some sales:bs

Mel put in the work over the years and across the net.
Russ was a good man ( R.I.P.)
SO lets see who pops in next.
Who remembers the rally dyno days?!
If you really want to get horsepower out of these trucks, you have to get rid of the IDI.

The best and cheapest thing to do is to LS swap em.... Yep, there's no shortage of 5.3LS engines and you can get 1000HP out of them from stuff on the shelf at O'Reilly's.

Hey sorry been a little out the game lately. The bronco is still driving but no longer with the db4 pump. We made a run from south texas all the way to CA. Didn't skip a beat until we cross the CA state line. Started shaking real bad. Felt like running on 7.5 cylinders. Sent it back to CCD for some diagnostic and found only a small issue. Still ran another 800 miles. Due to the big bore db2 style they are building now it just didn't make sense to try and fix the db4 with the old tech. Instead got a 150cc db2 with icfc sitting in my shop waiting for injectors and few odd and ends.

I did like the db4 it worked as advertised and would do it again. Was a fun project, but I am looking forward to the new pump to see the comparison. My thoughts it the db4 was like a garden hose, and make a ton of fuel down low. I noticed crawling with this extra power was so nice. I have a stock pump on the truck now and it just not compare. The db2 will be the best of both worlds. Will post and try to get back on the site more.
