Is a Caterpillar reman 5013 a good replacement? I took one off a junk yard f250 and would like to run it but surprisingly cannot find much about it. Is it governed differently? is it tuned for the lower output international? Tks in advance.

junk yard f250 .
It was in the junk yard why?
You might actually have a good runner or a good core.
Bolt it on and see how your core works.

This is the plan.
I had read online of the Cat pump being a 175hp but later, with searching the Cat part number found 185hp specs

The ‘92 hit a pole!

That pump wasn’t reman by cat, the pump builder used a cat pump tag and stamped the stanadyne info on it. If it spins freely and metering valve isn’t stuck should at least run.
