Can an IDI tow 8,000 pounds for 1600 miles?

I got another question, is it ever ok to tow that much weight while in overdrive. I have my own opinions but i wanted your input.

E4OD? sure, just dont let it hunt for gears, when the conditions require a shift out of OD, do it.

I do not pull all that much, but when I do It wont be under 10k some times up to 18k and I like the way it does .

I was just curious if you guys think that my 7.3 n/a is capable of towing my wheeling rig and a couple extra thousand pounds of stuff from az to wa.

Shoot, done and do that kind of towing with a F-150. M5OD though... Hows your E4OD feeling lately?
