Well I guess I should have taken you up on that offer for the Compression tester. The guy I bought mine from either took my money and ran or just doesn't care that I paid him quickly so that I would receive it quickly. He was supposed to ship it 3 day mail, whether it be Fed Ex UPS or USPS, I didn't care just so long as it was 3 day mail and shipped on monday morning. He obviously didn't do either because I would have had it by now if he'd shipped it how I told him to. He doesn't care enough to return my emails asking for a tracking number and location either. I'm just so sick of people.

where is he located.:backoff:backoff:backoff:backoff

I really only felt bad for three days. I went back to school on friday. I couldn't miss a test so I went but felt good and did well on the test so I think I'm on the down hill of this one.
Now if I could only get my truck to run.

You still need mine or are you going to wait a couple more days to see if yours shows up?

Sorry man guess I missed that post. Um. Yea. I'll just wait on mine. The idiot finally wrote me after I threatened to give him negative feedback for not responding to my messages. He supposedly sent it monday priority mail. Which is 3 day like I asked. I don't know what the deal is with priority mail, but I have three items out there with priority mail that should have been here this week and they are not. I'm just sick of the post office. They are always loosing, or breaking something of mine.

When i ordered my glow plugs i sent the money order in overnight express mail a garenteed service, it was garenteed to get there next day at 3, well that evening it didnt get there so i went to the post office and told them they gave me the 17 dollars that i pay for that service back and said the would try to find the money order, well 4 days later it gets there, well i put them plugs in and 2 cranks later there all dead!-cuss:backoff i call rock auto and they say check your ignition system its not possible for 8 to burn out at the same time well i kno nothings wrong with it cause i dont went threw it before i put the new plugs in and i even installed a manual switch so im going to call back and tell them and make them give me some more plugs, i kno ecactly how you feel about everythin thats going wrong with your truck i feel the same way about mine alot, but i try not to let it get me down

Well I got the compression tester tonight. Hooked it up to #2 and pushed 425psi and was trying to climb a little higher but all of a sudden the gauge lost pressure and wouldn't hold anymore. So I took it off and brought it inside, bugged Calvin about it and he pointed me in the right direction, that there should be a check valve in the line somewhere, but it isnt in the probe like most testers are its in the line inside of a fitting. So I took the line apart and there was a tiny oring stuck in the valve. Pulled the valve apart and got the oring out. Then figured out the oring is supposed to be in there to seal the thing, but I can't figure out how the hell this oring is supposed to stay in there. It just sits inside the valve, so I would think it'll get sucked through that valve every time I use it. I may have to replace it with a Parker hydraulic check valve. I don't know if the oring is not the correct one or what.

But #2 cylinder pushed 425psi anyway, which is pretty good I think considering my rings aren't seated yet.

I dropped the injectors off at the shop today. They were buried but said they'd check them as soon as they can.

Thank you! Hopefully I'll get the compression test done tomorrow and we'll know where I stand on whether or not the motor got damaged when the injectors took a crap.

I'm not sure what to do now. I pulled the valve cover really hoping to find a broken valve or broken valve spring or something but both valves on #8 are tight against the spring retainer and I can't spin them so from what I've been taught they should be fine. Cranked the motor over to make sure both were moving and both are. I put my finger over the glow plug hole and its not doing anything whatsoever, not blowing out air and not sucking any in. The only thing I can lean towards at this point is the faulty injector has blown a hole in that piston. But what boggles my mind is that if its a hole in a piston why isn't it burning oil? Because it wasn't burning any oil. Would the fact that I'm running a RDT have any effect on that? I wouldn't think so, if hot gasses are being pushed through the piston into the crank case then it will burn oil and that burnt oil needs to go somewhere. The only other possibility that was mentioned to me was that the leaking injector could have washed out the rings. None of these make me very happy.

Sean... About the valves... Remove all the rockers and use a straight edge across all to the tips paying attention to those on number 8. See if any are hanging up and not closeing all the way. Not a chance you burned a hole in that piston. You would have so much blue smoke and blowby it would be like your crop dustying the neighberhood. This is to be done on the drivers side head. Thats cylinder 2-4-6-8. Thats the easy side to work on at least you have that working for you.

With the valve cover off, do the valves move freely when You turn it over??

Try turning it by hand. You'd feel any interference.

Well cranking with the starter the valves to not appear to have any sort of hesitation or anything. They appear to be opening and closing all the way without any sort of disrupted movement.
