I found an insane deal on a pair of reman calipers, but they are for an 82-85 F250 super cab, I have an 86 reg cab. Will they fit and stop?

That's what I would expect, however part numbers between both years are different. Should be the same front axle, so should be the same knuckles right?

Super cabs often times had the dana 50 while the single cabs usually had the dana 44hd. I have seen a few single cabs with dana 50's but not many.

I may have a set of dana 44 and dana 50 calipers if your interested. There still on the trucks. Pm me if your looking for a set.

fyi: they are dual piston calipers on the SuperCab F250s those years, I'm not sure but yours may have single piston

I've got dual piston as well, I'm almost certain there is a significant difference. Auto store stocks one but not the other, so I can't compare the two. -cuss

There is a possible difference. They are both dual caliper, but something like thickness or shape on the backside may be a factor. My vote is to buy both and just re-sell or return the one you can't use, or stock the others for next time.

I looked at them side by side the other day and it appears the 44HD has smaller hubs and half-shafts than the 50, but very similar twin-piston brakes. More than likely the brakes are near identical, but wouldn't fit from the 44 to the 50 due to the smaller hub.

What about the difference between a caliper from an 85 dana 44hd and an 89 44hd?
