blown engine

hey guys, my brother in law blew up his 03 6.0 today. the dealership wants 10 grand to replace the engine and labor. is there any place to buy a 6.0 and if so whats the cost? i think i can get it swapped alot cheaper at least labor $.

I just ran a search for the hell of it and came up with stuff from $850 - $6600. Should be able to get a good one with less than 100000 miles for about $2500 - $3500

You're welcome, You may want to look into Jasper Engines, Rhino Engines and possibly a few others if going the reman route.

BTW curious how he blew it up and how bad did he blow it up......window the block, hole a piston or ????
