banks sidewinder questionsh

Hey guys I got a phone number for a fellow with a 7.3 idi dually with banks sidewinder kit. Its running and turbo is good I havent called yet to get details on rest of truck.. I got a few questions for the turbo guys is 1000 bucks a good deal for it? I thought it was. And also if the truck isnt good shape whether or not its a standard or auto will the turbo work on my 85 4 speed?

1k is good deal.it's what i payed for mine iirc,then had to buy a few things.was worth every penny!
hard/tight kit to install.......but so worth it.
if it's the 2nd gen (has wastegate) the cross over pipes share the same part# for auto or manual.

Knowing if its a wastegated sidewinder would be nice to know. I have 2 sidewinder turbos from Banks and they are a tight fit. But most any turbo you install is going to be a tight fit one way or the other. So let us know what type of Banks turbo your looking at for more info from this forum...
