It's actually the taking them back off with trucks that live in the rust belt. Total displeasure.

Well, I'm done installing....for now.
It is up and running. No oil leaks I can see.
Also, no boost that I can tell. Boost gauge hasn't come in yet. It is dumping a lot of black smoke at full throttle, and seems no better than before on power. That said, I think the crossover pipes are leaking at the flanges, and I can see smoke around the turbo flange. I think I am dumping exhaust out everywhere except through the turbo.
I also think it is time for cab mounts. I am pretty sure the firewall is touching the turbo heat shield. Bad vibration in cab now, so something is touching somewhere....
I don't think I am going to mess with it until I get a boost gauge other than trying to get exhaust leaks dealt with.

Got an autometer boost/vacuum gauge hooked up to it tonight. I know with no load, there will be very little boost, but, the most I can get is about 1 pound. It actually pulls a vacuum when you first get in the throttle. So yeah, can leaky exhaust cause this? I think I know the answer, but this is the first anything I have ever had a turbo. I did pull the pressure chamber off and fired the engine. The turbo was blowing the cdr blow by through it pretty good, so the wheel seems to be turning ok.
All on all, I was pretty happy with the engineering of the kit. It seemed to install just like I expected after studying the instructions.

all right. Here you go!
Step 1...unhook the batteries!!!
You have to remove the rear engine lifting brackets and the firewall insulation.
Now is time to relocate the glow plug controller over the passenger valve cover. Also, time to remove the cdr and tube and install the turbo drain grommet.
There is a bracket that plugs the cdr hole and some heat shield that is installed at this point over the wiring and throttle cables.
remove the ip cover on the front and install the banks piece that relocates the cdr tube.

Thread the up pipe through after cutting the tab off the transmission.
here is the turbo mounted on the pedestal.
pretty easy from here on out installing all the filter plumbing and other stuff.
