I have this build going on on several other forums, and I'm warming up to the wealth of IDI followers here, so enjoy!

Let's travel back in time. Six months to be exact. I'm cruising around in my Chrysler Sebring Coupe minding my own business... and BAM! I now want a new truck. Off to Craigslist I go, and lo - a 1990 F-Superduty presents herself in flying colors. 5 colors, to be specific. ;Really

A trade and a couple of gallons on fuel later, she's mine! I didn't know what I got myself into, but this truck was cool! 130k documented, DOCUMENTED!, miles on 2 owners. Originally a utility bed, with an old guy's parted truck bed now laying on back. We'll get to that in a minute.

First thought: she needs new colors! Preferably one color... LOL

After playing around with some choices, leather brown was to be her new clad. Why such a color? I don't want no work truck vibe!

But wait, I can't paint! Google saves the day, presenting several links about rolling on thinned enamel paint. Let's do it!

Back to the bed... Dang thing seems off... wait for it... the rear end sits farther back on F-Superduties! Learned that.

Enjoy some more pictures.

Burnouts = awesome. Me doing burnouts w/ a 5 speed = fail.

Most current: (Don't mind the burnt edges; I didn't care for how the paint was building and decided to bring it down)

Yea, all the wetsanding you've been doing has been helping alot too... I know voted against this color but I think it'll look pretty good with some heavy clearcoat on it. Nice work Austin.

Thanks! She's getting a full tear down after I finish school - paint off of everything, frame powdercoated, etc. Gonna do an air suspension so help with the ride.

He definitely did. But now that I've got this build almost done, I know what I will and won't do again. Here's to even better results the second time around!

Haven't touched the truck in quite some time. I still start her up and drive around the block every few weeks.

I recently (this week!) got a job for my local Ford dealer in the service department. I might just outsource this paint job to their bodyshop.
