What are the pros and cons of these systems? I'm trying to decide what kit I will go with when I turbo my dually...

If you're looking at a new kit, IMHO the real difference is the name. Both are wastegated and both provide similar performance...IIRC, the Banks kit comes with an exhaust system while the ATS system lets you pick and choose, but I think the price winds up coming out almost the same. But, this is coming from someone who has an old non-wastegated ATS, so I could have some info off. Someone will come in and correct me before too long 
I cant read in your sig if you have standard or automatic tranns, also I have only seen install on HY and ATS not on banks since price come up to the same I can tell ATS install seems really ease. Of course we had the master when we installed the ATS :Sly .

Between the two you mentioned...ATS simpler by design, installer friendly, and better user servicibility.
between Hypermax and ATS.....that is a tossup.....both are very well engineered

I did a used Banks kit. Banks folks were good when I needed parts, although not cheap. The only real complaints were bending the firewall seam, standing on your head to bolt the turbo in and the muffler clamp on the down pipe that is close to the passenger floor.
Not sure if the ATS kit uses the same heat shields as the factory unit, but they are much nicer than the Banks.

I bought a new Banks kit mainly for the completeness (if thats a word) of the system. It was all there & pretty easy to install. The directions are pretty good but the diagrams in the directions are terrible. The only problems I had during install was an exhaust flange that was installed backwards at Banks & a tough time installing the above mentioned exhaust clamp without having it hit the floorpan. It hits sometimes in reverse. Otherwise, it's a nice system.

Thing I noticed between the ATS and Banks was on my banks I could get to all injectors and glowplugs without much trouble at all. I seen on the ATS systems where the TURBO it's self was in the way of a couple of glow plugs 
That is because on the ATS systems the turbo sits sort of off to one side of the engine and the banks system places the turbo dead center.

As everyone has already pointed out, they are both pretty much equal when it comes to performance. Banks does have GREAT customer service thuogh... I called about replacement injector cap rubber pluggy things and 24 hours later the UPS man was at my door parts in hand - no charge! They also replace my pyro, no questioned asked, when I thought it was acting up. Because of this, and the completeness of the kit, I vote Bank. One thing about the ATS, it's a real factory looking install. Either way, you're going to be happy.
