Didn`t want to put it in, then didn`t see if they take Pay Pal.

I have credit card compromised buying things, and not going through Pay Pal.

Considering the ARP Website lists the Jobber prices at $408, someone is either selling them at a big loss, you will only receive 8 of the 34 studs, or they accessed a shipping container of them using "alternative methods"....

Or they're made in China, of the finest Chinesium. Won't break because they'll stretch like taffy, or won't stretch because they'll shatter like pot metal, some of each in every batch.

This begs the question. Is there such thing as counterfeit ARP head studs? I gambled and came up on a new ARP studs (ARP 1504069 that was returned on Amazon (100$). Everything was in the original bags, all bolts were stamped ARP on the top, Ultra Torque lube was unopened. One has a little rust on it from water. I gamble a little with my builds but I wouldn't expect others to do that. All's I know is I would never/could ever bring myself to spending 4-5 hundred for a set of head studs because i'm poor. I'd say make sure they accept returns and go for it but do your due diligence. Double check all the packaging that it is from ARP. If not? Send it back and report back. Here are a few pictures of the ones I rolled the dice on...

Unfortunately, no. I've got the 6.9 up on the engine stand but just haven't brought myself to pulling the heads off. It has what i'd call a lower tone hallow bottom engine knock. Problem didn't go away after I installed injectors so I assume it's something else. Part of me wants to just pull it apart and find out what it needs but i'd love to be able to identify the issue before pulling everything apart. Engine was running great other than that lower end noise. Also had great compression.
