Okay, so I went to check timing on my truck for ***** and gigs(getting pinging and missing at 2k-rpm> under load but that's a topic for another time), pulled the Rotunda meter out, set it up and I'm getting no signal from the pickup on the balancer, or at least the machine isn't able to interpret the signal from the pickup. I did some quick continuity tests and the wiring from the adapter through to the meter is fine, I took some resistances readings across the pickup and i do get a change when the pickup is against metal and not. I've fiddlefucked with distance from the balancer, doused the balance in brake clean, done everything aside from sand the balancer down to bare metal. Before I start tearing the meter & adapter to pieces I was wondering if any of y'all could grab some readings from a known good/functioning pickup.
The meter was working a treat when I tested it shortly after I bought it, and again not too long after that. It's been on the shelf for less than a year since but it's also over 30 years old so I guess nothing is outta the question.
Thanks for making it this far and potentially entertaining my nonsense.
