Like the title states, looking for some pictures of one; specifically with an actually stock bed and 4x4.

Ive tried searching the forums and google but seems to always only come up with work style trucks with flatbeds or dump beds.

While I can understand that, was just curious what a 4x4 one with a stock bed would actually look like and how it would sit.

Can be a 87-91 or 92-96; but would prefer 87-91. Ill keep searching, but didn't know if maybe some long time members have pictures saved or ones easily on hand.

Thanks

You'll never find a factory dually 4x4 with a bed. The only factory dually 4x4's were C+C's with flat beds or no beds. The people who have done a 4x4 conversion on their trucks (I am currently in the process of this) are the only pictures you'll find. I do know that it levels out the whole truck quite nicely though by picking up the front end a few inches.

That is one seriously nice looking truck!!

yeah pretty tough find.you'd have to find a 4wd or c&c conversion or just try and picture a 2wd sitting a bit higher is all.

Thanks for the link. Acourse its the same color and interior of mine; and looks in great shape lol. Makes the decision even harder now thanks alot!

Figures. I want to go serp on mine; just a matter of getting all the parts for a good price.

Doh cookoo, I already knew that I guess I just forgot about it. I discussed it all with diesel brad over a year ago before I even bought the truck because I planned then to probably do it. Thanks for the reminder though. I guess I need to go back through all my emails with him and pick out the info I need. I think I remember the hardest part is getting the dual hubs for the front D60, usually have to pay a pretty penny for those.

Showoff:rolleyes:LOL Pretty color and a 5 speed too.

Me too. Same color and 5 speed just like mine. Oh the ideas!

Thanks

The hubs aren't IMPOSSIBLE to find, but they do command a pretty penny when they show up. I got lucky when I found my set. I'm trying to get a hold of another set from my brother, but no word yet on if it'll be possible.

Just out of curiosity, what is the going rate for the hubs? I've heard some people say they're worth their weight in gold; others have said that they're all but worthless. I guess it all depends on whether you're putting a Dana 60 under an F-250 or if you're converting an F-350 4x4 to DRW...

Usually the ones ive seen are around the 250 range. But im sure its all going to depend like everything; what part of the country your in and whose selling them. Alot of guys that buy tons of trucks or do the swap alot have extra sets laying around.

Even though they are pretty hard to find, I have found that almost any people that have them are still willing to sell them if your a forum member and such without a big fuss. It helps when its a member that buys and goes through trucks like candy as they find them alot more and they usually have an extra set.

DRW d60's are more common out here thanks to PG&E and PACBELL. that's why it's more common to find compared to elswhere in the country where D60's are more common under normal SRW pickups. We don't have the snowy and icy roads that make the additional cost of buying a D60 a justifiable expense. The local utilities OTOH, have a very good reason for the D60 service trucks. outside of the metro areas, we really do have rocky, muddy and hill-strewn roads. heck, just take a look at my collection of D60 trucks. two are SRW pickups, one is a converted DRW pickup and three are DRW commercial chassis. that should speak volumes of what is found around these parts.

I wish I had access to buy trucks like you do.

Around here in KY, anything even remotely close to these just bring big money all day long. Garbage trucks or over 200,000 miles that many on here wouldn't pay over 1500 bucks for, go for 4-5 grand all day long; its almost disgusting. God forbid if its got a cummins in it, you would think that thing is made of hot ass and pu**y.

While I love me a good cummins motor, the same equipped truck will bring an easy 3-4 grand over the same ford or chevy diesel around here like clockwork.

Kentucky doesn't have near the true farms it used to have with tons of work trucks running around. Alot of money has been brought into KY over the last 10-20 years, and now all these trucks that go for cheap everywhere else; get sold to high school kids with money to run and rip around town in trying to show off. Very rarely are anything actually used like its supposed to be around here anymore, and if it is; it aint an idi. Im only in my lower 20's but im ashamed of the generation I grew up in, and would give my left nut to be able to pick up trucks and get the deals you all get.

For instance my truck. Now while I probably will never be able to replace it with the same thing; and being a one owner garage kept for the last 22 years and 45,000 original miles with original floor mats, and manuals still in plastic. I still had to drive over 5 hours one way to get it, and it still cost me in the 6-7 grand somewhere all said and done. While I hate that I spent that kind of money on it, even this same truck, beat to ****, rust, and 200,000 miles goes for 4 grand all day long here. It sucks trying to afford them here.
