Alternator bearing

Hello everyone, I find Myself in need of some help, I have a annoying squeak noise on My 93 ford and I think it is coming from the alternator. I already pulled the belt and felt all the pulleys, the alt is the only one that makes a minimal noise when I turn it by hand. This is the second alternator the truck ever got, the first was motorcraft and lasted many years this one is also motorcraft (about 6 years old) and works very well but now makes this noise.

I found this two drive end bearings "NATIONAL Part # 203FF and NATIONAL Part # 304DD" one is motorcraft and the other Leece-Neville, now I didn't know this year came with those. I thought I would get the one from motorcraft but it only up to 70amp and I believe mine was 3g from factory which should put it around 160amp(?).
Also, any input on the procedure for replacement of the bearing with a new one?

Take it apart and knock the old bearings out and knock the new ones in.reassemble it. There is usually a trick to getting the brushes back in such as using a toothpick to hold them up.

Thats about all there is to replacing the bearings. Ture it is about the trick to holding up the brushes with a tooth pick or piece of wire pushed thru the brush end of the alternater.. You will see the two opening for this idea.

Thank You guys, I'll go to napa with the old bearing and get a new one from them.

if it's a 3g unit, you can pull the regulator/brush holder and assemble the alternator first and then put it back in.

Well I finally got time to do this, I went to napa first and they said they don't carry bearings for an alternator , so I went to a mom&pop store that rebuilds them and they had them so I installed them on mine and hopefully this is what was causing the squeak, It wasn't so easy to get it apart, I had to undo the wires soldered inside the alternator but after that it was easier, cleaned all the pieces and back it went. Here are some pics in case someone wants to see, btw I'm not sure mine is a 3g after all.

Sure looks like what towcat posted up.. BTW.. Both of you posted some great pics of the how toos with the brushes.. Makes it almost stupid simple seeing pics like that. Makes me want to go out and play with mine... Ron... Don't run with that.. I know somebody is but just not you...
