after market tach

I see all these trucks with after market tachs inthe dash or on the colum , what brand ? what do they use for a pick up or sender unit ? I have a7.3 with a pickup on the IP gear . I want to put a tach in my 86 with 6.9 thanks CE

I have an ISSPRO tach on my a-pillar. It has two magnents that are glued onto the harmonic dampener 180* off (or close to it). Then you mount a sensor 1/8-1/4" off of them and you are all set . Dont remember how much it cost me, but you could look it up on their website.

Autometer makes diesel tachs, they're around $100.

i have an auto meter tach it reads of the alternator it cost me about $130

thanks guys . I went to the Zone today they only had an autometer catolog . it didnt have much information on diesel. but they were avable
