Affordable pyrometer, what you got..

Looking all over the net today fr an affordable pyrometer.. Not looking to spend 100.00+ for one gauge, what have you guy's bought thats affordable. I see a few on ebay that are cheap, but i don't know if any pyro will work?? Where do i mount the probe on one of these trucks?? thanks

I run a glow shift 7with color gauge the site is gloshift.com I'm not sure on the price cause I bought a kit but all of the kit was under 200, I mounted the probe in the drivers side manifold. I put the probe right in front of an exhaust port because I was more intrested on a single cylinder temp than combined. I think you are supposed to pug it between two ports or at the end.

Ya thats one i was looking at, nice gauge but 110.00, hoping to spend less than 100.00 if possable..

I looked all over when I was shopping for mine but just gave up, I don't think you will find anything new for under 100 , used maybe, even with my tier4 parts discount I was looking at 150 for a Sunpro

That's the one I have great gauges and they r a small company great customer service me and my cousin both run their gauges in our vehicles.

I got an Auber Instruments pyro. I got a couple extra things and it ran about $120.

The same company offers different sensors you can use with the same readout, but you can only run one sensor at a time. It'd be awesome to have a dash full of digital readouts though...

Thats the "extra stuff" i bought. I got a aluminum box to put it in and velcroed it to the top of the dash.

Cant fnd my pic... its on top of the dash, left side, near the a pillar...

No made in new jersey sons of the bits maybe china but assembled here I could be wrong though

Hmm, aluminum box looks interesting.. Im at a toss up between thes two gauges now..
