adding electric fuel pump for lack of power

This is exactly how mine is set up. My lift pump pulls thru my facet pump (mounted on frame) just fine. I rarely use my auxillary electric pump but it has come in handy multiple times. I have a switch near my HHO gauge and flip it on when I need to prime system when I change fuel filters and injectors. When I did injector job (twice ), I flipped on my aux. pump for about 2 minutes and it started like I never even touched anything. My setup doesn't seem to interfere with the lift pump at all and am pleased with the setup.

Unfortunately I do not have a thread about my setup because PO already had it installed and running correctly when I bought the truck. He did do a very clean job putting it on and it has always worked for me. Maybe I can post some pics of it if I get the time later on today.

Heres another off the wall idea. Filling the fuel the fuel pumped in slowly. Read that this is caused by bad charcoal canister or tank vent. Could a lack of venting also make a bad fuel pump worse?

Run your truck for 5 minutes and then take your cap off . Did you hear vacuum? Drive with the cap off. My guess is you will see no difference.

Ok the electric pump is off and the new mechanical pump is on. Started up and sounds good, and i drove around the neighborhood. I looked in the crankcase when I installed the pump and I believe the cam was in the right spot. Is there any way to know for sure, or is simply running it with no new noises or problems enough?
