A/C question?

while working on my truck, i found a problem with the line on the cond. where the mounting bolt is? can i get this welded? i tried to clean it with steel wool?

Nope. Just find a shop that can make you another hose or go find that damaged end on any big Ford or Merc in a wrecking yard, cut it off and have it installed on your hose.... If your hose is worth saving. I really don't think the soft aluminum tubing is weldable T60-61....

Galvanic corrosion. Aluminum and steel do not mix.

Is it corroded all the way though?

A radiator shop can probably cut out the bad spot and solder a sleeve in. I've fixed that stuff with compression fittings and not had a problem.
