I saw that, but didn't look; I never would have imagined it would be called a "blend door lever".



Usually, what makes them go bad is the blower-switch getting hot, due to having to carry all of the blower current through much too small of a switch, plus the resistors adding even more heat, and all that heat warps and distorts the vacuum-selector housing, until it finally begins to leak, or becomes too distorted to function.

If you send it to the stealership, your dash will be forcefully yanked off by someone who doesn't know where all the screws attach and likely doesn't care if one or two tabs break...

DON'T DO IT!

If that didn't scare you off, the bill will make you regret it.
