Getting ready to install the F450 brake pedal assembly in my truck and noticed something odd. On my F350 brake pedal there is a plastic piece that clips over the rod that connects to the brake booster. This plastic piece hits the cruise control vacuum dump switch when the pedal is up. Since the 87-91 F450 uses a different brake pedal with the pin in a different location this plastic piece no longer works and my F450 pedal doesn't hit the cruise control vacuum switch.

So what have you other guys done with this? Do I just need to go to ford and get the plastic piece for an F450 or do I just fab up a simple bracket?

When I did my swap I cut the oem bracket to fit. Then just glued it to the peddle shaft with RTV. The way it rides on the peddle there is no real pressure on it that will make it fall off.

That is a stellar idea. I feel dumb I didn't think to just whittle on the original bracket to make it work. I'll cut it down and glue it on.

Thanks,
Jeremy
