ok my truck is shot? not all but the most important part? i found this one across the street! 87 F350 Crew Larait, SRW, A/C, NA 6.9l, C-6, nice truck from just looking? paint or clearcoat is ruff, been setting cause it will not shift into 3rd? he is going to move and wanted to use it to move? said he will talk to managment and see about selling it to me? said would take best offer? what ever i would give for it! (i always hate that?) only 140k miles! so what should i give?

thats easy.
if you don't need the truck, offer him $1500 due to the transmission problem.

if you really need it, offer him $2500-$3000.

In my experience with c6's the not shifting into 3rd is almost always a vacuum problem.... thirty minutes, a handheld vacuum pump, and you ought to be able to figure out the problem.

that is what i thought? i may need more info? i talked with a mechanic friend that said if he remembered right that a 2 to 3 sift problem along with a rev slip would mean clutch? bed has no holes so it only towed by hitch, and been parked in this guys yard for a while. need and want and management are problems?

well i went and got a good look at the truck, looks stock will need some TLC! man i'd love to get it, he has moved it i saw the moving truck in his yard this week and went by today and the truck is gone? i know the house was for sale i'll have to do some PI work to find him.
