10/93 would definitely be a 94' model year, and I thought that year you could 7.3l IDI, 7.3l IDI Turbo, and 7.3l DI Turbo. Tell me I am wrong if I am, but I think I am right. I bet your truck with that low of mileage is the factory engine unless something catostrophic took place.

WHS i have been all three versions on the 94's and even the powerstroke 94's had only the turbo diesel emblem on the fender, not powerstroke.

And like stated earlier if it is a stoke in 94 then it has to be a stick.

OOPS--BY BAD The code is 39, which is 3.55:1. I should have known better than to have posted when I was tired and from my memory. FWIW the rpm's are about 1700 or so at 60 mph. Still checking the fuel mileage. I found a leak in the rear tank after I topped it off, it didn't look too bad however it only took me 200 miles until the gauge registered almost on E. NOT GOOD. I will see what the front tank returns. The engine starts like a new one, seems to run fine-I am driving mostly on cruise @60 MPH and slow starts otherwise. Still need to check the tire pressure but with almost new rubber [10 ply] it should be OK.
As stated earlier, it has the automatic trans, and yes, the overdrive is working. The truck will coast with little effort thus I don't think I have a dragging brake, but a tire spin while on a jack will soon be in order.

200 miles/14 gallons=13ishmpg.. don't be too quick to blame the hole in the rear tank for that short of range.... that is lower end of avg mpg.. from what I have read/experienced.

(edit: 14.285 mpg... need more coffee I guess)
