Just noticed the turn signals on an ‘88 f250 aren’t flashing but turn the light on fine otherwise. The hazards work fine.

Read other threads about this and believe the issue to be with the turn signal flasher as no fuses are blown etc.

I’m confused because the fuse box diagram (see pic) on my truck says the flasher on the front side of the fuse box is for the hazards. But other sources online and on here say this is supposed to be the turn signal flasher.

Ended up taking off this flasher in the fuse box and the hazards still worked.. so replaced it with a new one and the turn signals flash again.

Just confused why the fuse box on the truck is wrong? Could it have been replaced or something or am I just misunderstanding the fuse box diagram somehow.

Oh well, it’s fixed but just throwing it out there since it’s confusing

That diagram is wrong. The hazard flasher is behind the glove box. I'll have to look at mine and see if it's labeled the same.

That particular flasher is for the turn signals.
