At the risk of sounding stupid, I need to know if you can use the 6.9 engine gasket set on a 7.3. Now the reason I ask, is I plan on doing the 6.9 cooling system mod on my 7.3 and am already going to be using 6.9 head gaskets. I plan to reseal everything while I have the engine out. It is getting a new cam, rebuilt heads, new injectors (aluminum rails) new turbo and ip (undecided on which one yet. I already know to use a good rtv for the oil pan.

6.9 gaskets will work, you have to use them otherwise the coolant passages are blocked with the 7.3 head gasket.

I thought the same as Wes did at first. Yes, the rest of the gaskets are the same. Don't use the oil pan gasket that is in the kit. They will leak. Just use a bead of RTV. That's how it comes from the factory.

I did know about the oil pan. I'm ordering the ford silicone off ebay. I'm sure others work just as well, but I dont plan on doing this again in the near future.
