53 block

I remember hearing about the 53 blocks, i can't remember where I saw it. Someone had pictures of where to look. I want to know if I have one. Any info, thanks

It is on the drivers side between the injection pump and the power steering pump.I hope that helps.

theyre are so few of these around that it is more of a hassle to look for it, 99% of them have already been replaced or are in junkyards.

oh...and they usually crack at the drivers side engine mount area. (the very few i have seen)

There are many 53's still on the road. Piers will tell you that most of them crack on the passenger's side towards the back in the 5th cylinder area. The number is on the driver's side at the front, just above the oil pan. Here's pics of mine:
