I got myself a 85 250 2wd with a 6.9. Stock tire size is 235/85/16. I have a set of 265/75/16 with about 10% tread wear. I was wondering ifit would hurt to run the 265/75/16 size on my truck.

Thanks,
Cody

Should work. Basically the same tire diameter. Should clear steering etc too

Tire height is almost exactly the same. You will get a little more resistance because they are wider.

the tires will fit. they may bow a little with the pickup rims (16x6). on my SRW trucks, I run the van rims(16x7)
keeps things looking stock and I can run a little wider tire (265's)

I'm running 265/75s on my '85 (bonehead me, didn't notice that the aftermarket rims I bought were too wide for 235s....); no clearance issues whatsoever, and the overall diameter is within something like 1/10 of an inch. 'Course, mine's 4x4; not sure if clearance is that different.
