1993 7.3 IDI non-turbo slug!

No Cummins never did. My brother is a diesel mechanic and they do alot of performance applications to, this was a mod that they did. Alot of pullers and racers do this because the vp just can't deliver enough fuel for some applications.

Ok now that we have the suggestions where do I get the parts, like I said I am only familar with the Cummins and I am curious as to how this thing will run with a turbo, pump, exhaust, injectors ect.! My brother is buying a 2000 F-350 crewcab 4x4 long bed Lariat that has alot of blowby and the guy is selling it to him for 5000 and he is using the p-pump 24v.

Or, you can leave it alone and drive it forever.

I have a 1993 non-turbo 7.3 has all the power I need to drive it with traffic.Just make sure there arn't any cars 2 miles ahead when you try and pass someone

Yeah I know, but your right it does have enuff power for some but I am a power junky and would like to have something not so ordinary, everyone has a newer model diesel and this truck is in great shape!

A turbo a good ip free flowing exaust and a ram air intake should put you pretty close to 300 hp. how much more do you need?
