1986 F-250 suspension lift ideas.....

Have a 1986 F-250 diesel. That I will be doing a Dana 60 swap on in the spring. Need to clear 38" tires, so here are my thoughts. Find 3 more of the 3"×50" leaf packs I have. Since they are 9" from the floor to where the axle sits, and also ery stiff, this should give it a good bit of lift along with a shackle flip? Ya I know it's gonna ride rough with thick speings like that, Good news is I don't care!

Why wouldn't you just get lift springs?

Don't really have $1,300 for a lift kit....low budget build is the idea...

Also don't know why you would pay that much.
The d60 axle with springs will give you around 3" lift alone.
Get rear f350 blocks. Also 3".

A lift kit for this truck (1986 F-250, Diesel) is roughly $1,200. A Dana 60 is a grand in my area....not really much of a difference.
