I have searched and read all the threads on how to install etc...

My questions though come into what does it do for

mpg's

longevity of the truck/reliability...not interested in mods that will decrease longevity of the truck

I have my truck to tow 7-8K lb loads, will this hurt or help my towing..

:dunno

Interested in hearing from the guys who have done this mod and have put some miles on there trucks since doing it.....

I hear the 10K mod doesnt do much. If you want to see any sort of difference 5.6K or lower is needed. I hear the 1.2K mod makes it lope like a big block chevy with a huge cam ;Sweet

As far as reliablitly there are a bunch of guys who have done it. Dont know if it shortens the life span of anything though.

I have the 10k resistor mod on my truck. I have it run through a switch. I like it. It gives the engine a bit more get up and go. The idle suffers a bit. I don't think it will hurt the longevity a bit. Since it fools the HPOP that the injection pressure is lower, the only effect in MPG would be if you had your foot into it.

So then hook them up against the two wires or clip the one wire and run it in series with that wire?

I h ave read tons of threads on tons of forums about doing it both ways.
