It was my understanding you could run a blow off valve as a boost regulator in a way. But i guess that might cause an over speed situation for the turbo. I appreciate the info wes.
throttle plateYou should be fine without a wastegate with the larger housing, and diesels don’t need blow off valves since our intakes are always open, unlike a gasser which has a throttle body
Yeah you’d be better off just spinning the turbo slower and have it compress cooler air than if it was spinning faster and further from its efficiency rangeIt was my understanding you could run a blow off valve as a boost regulator in a way.
