    I just had the same problem with my truck. Turns out I had 2 shorts in the trans wiring harness, i could have never found them. Cost me 2 hours labor and some new connectors. The convertor would lock up for a little , then wouldnt for the rest of the drive.

    My truck is a 93 , with zero rust, it has been Zeibarted, and i have it resprayed and checked every year, the original rear spring hangers are rust free and look great, Ive seen trucks less than 10yrs with the hangers ready to fall off, i thought i would add this since i havent seen it metioned yet

    I pulled my trailer from Oh to Ne loaded with my pulling tractor and weights, total weight was around 9,000 pounds, my truck is a 93 na f-250 4:10 rear with the auto trans. Did fine on flat ground , speed up the hills slowed, but not bad, just had to watch my pyro it climbed to 1200 pretty...

    The new starter cranks the truck as faster than the old one, no problems with it, I think I am sold on this starter

    I put the starter on, cranked it and it works fine. I did not add any shimes, and it sounds fine. We will see how long it lasts. One good thing though it is easier to put on than the old one, Its shorter

    thanks for all the posts. I did take it off today and had it checked at advance, it was fine,but my batteries are dead. They are new from advance this winter. I noticed it cranked slower a couple of days before it quit, maybe the new batteries have some:dunno dead cells? Or is there something...
