    Quick weird electricial quesiton.

On my 97 ranger, when I put on the e brake, the ABS light comes on. If I start the truck with the e brake still on, it comes on. If I start it with the e brake off, it never comes on. Has anyone experienced this before?

Crappy pic quality, but you get the picture.

I am a dumb-ass!!! This plug broke when I was trying to take it out, but thats not the part that sucks the most. I assumed that the plug tip was stuck in there, so I put the half plug back in and went to go get pizza. When I came back, and I removed the half plug, I put in a normal plug to...

    24V GP system ?s

What would be the cheapest yet bullet proof way to put 24 V to my GP's? Keep in mind that I have 3 batteries. I have my own ideas, but I would like to see what you have to say too. The 15G plugs love 24V. Ran them for about 2 mins and they glowed orange all the way up the tip it was...

    Vacuum...

How much vacuum am I supposed to be getting? I'm pulling 10 inch lbs. When you hit the brakes it dumps to zero. Takes a couple of mins to build back up to 10. If I turn the truck off the vacuum stays at 10 for a while.

    Some brake issues...

What would cause a stiff brake pedal with minimal brake pressure? If you can time the stop perfectly with one push of the pedal the brakes work mint. But if you apply them too much and let off alittle, when you push them back down the pressure increases greatly and braking power decreases...

    AC Delco 15G test...

First I wanted to say that this test was not intended to take away from the guy that wanted to do a test on each plug!! This was an impulse buy, so I figured I would test them also for you guys to see. Part Number: 15g I thought that these were 12V Plugs. I was wrong. They have etched...

    Glow plug controller

I burned out 6 out of 8 glow plugs and I checked the voltage going to the plug and it varies from 9.5 to 10.5 volts. If my glow plug controller is broken what would I be reading at the plug?

    Rear brake diagram?

Does anyone know if there is a spot online that i can access a drum brake diagram for my truck. I seem to have misplaced my manual.

    Death wobble

Keeps getting worse. Was wondering what I should look at first. The truck needs an alignment in a bad way, pulls to the right real hard. But other than that, the joints seem to be fine. BTW I have the I beam front, with coil springs.

6 speed "check plug" or "fill plug"

My brothers truck has the 6spd, and we wanted to see the level of fluid in it but couldn't budge the plug. Its a 1/2" square hole, to which we tried a 1/2" breaker bar to no success. We didn't want to put too much pressure on it because there was a guy at a ford dealership who showed us what...

    Exhaust brakes

I remember this topic being discussed before, but I forgot the reason. I'm noth thinking of putting one on or anything, It's just been bugging me to not remember the answer. Why are the exhaust brakes bad for our engines? It might not even be our engines, it may be the powerstrokes that I'm...

    New radiator in

All is well. Flushed the system with chemicals, then flushed with water. Old one came out, new one in. New upper and lower hoses, and primed the system with 64 oz of NAPAKOOL. Now that I'm running a coolant filter with new fluid and rad and stuff, I'm very happy this overheating crap is...

    Coolant Filter Brackets for sale...

This is what I had my father make me at his work. Its a stainless bracket that bolts on with pre-existing bolts for the fuel filter. It goes under the side bracket, and under the fuel line fitting. It's 1/16" thick, and puts the filter right over that vacuum module, so that will have to be...

    Sterling info

Im going to be calling up a local junk yard to look for an axel that has a disk brake setup for the rear. Did sterlings only come on certain year trucks, or was it only on the 2WD.

    Torque converter lockup idea

Instead of a switch for the on/off, or on/auto, or however its done, i was thinking of a hand held unit. Something that would resemble a CB mic thingy. I want to use a coiling cell phone charger cord that would hook up to something you can hold in your hand, with a momentum switch on the top...

    Coolant filter question

I read the tech article on the coolant filter and currently have one ordered from NAPA for tomorrow. The question I have is why should you install the filter as a bypass filter? The only reason I can think of is if the filter gets clogged up, the cooling system can work normally. Which is a...

    Anyone use centrifuges before???

I'm looking up many sites and they all have the same exact info about centrifuges, but no prices or anything. Has anyone used them on these engines?
