    i bit on the same deal, buy three, one free, from the zone. replaced the stock ones on my wifes exploder that had over 100k on them. there no better than the ones i took off. i should have saved my time and coin. my advice, buy a better grade.

    the last time i did something like this i used a spindle from a 3/4 ton chev. welded the stub in the vertical position- re install the hub without the brake drum. make a plate for the crane to mount to the lug nuts.

    going to order the springs from rockauto.com . i may use the other parts from my old heads. haven't had time to give it much thought. picked up a t19 to replace the e4od and am looking for a us gear to tack on the back of it. plan on doing it all at the same time. cheers-chuck

    if it does it in gear, clutch depressed,engine running and the truck at a stand still, the input shaft is not rotating and should not be contributing to the noise.

    cheapest way would be to stash it behind the garage and forget about it till next winter. the water will freeze and you can pour off the oil.
