    My Big Blue Ox build....

I'll be around St. Maries for a week but should make it up to Sandpoint sometime. The price is? I just pulled it because it seemed like something to not crush. I saved most of the small parts with it drive shafts and such. I guess the price is what you think it's worth, to me it is just a core.

    My Big Blue Ox build....

I got a auto out of a 93 4x4 if you need. Don't know what shape it is in but it worked good enough to crash the rig. And I'm headed to northern Idaho in about 3 weeks.

    $5000.00 IDI build

Last summer I rebuilt a 6.9l and I came in somewhere at $5900. That was balanced with a luk smf and clutch, arp studs, Type4 cam, moose JR., Moose Misters. A killer deal on a Ih master kit, and all the little parts, paints, and so on. Oh and a bunch of valve guides and a hand full of used valves.

good compression on all 8 cylinders, only runs on 4?

so what kind of intake carb set up do you have? If it is a dual plane intake could be a carb issue. Which 4 cylinders does it run on? 2 on each side?

I pulled apart a 93 awhile back and there was a stack of shims behind the crank pulley. There were 3 fairly thin shims of varying thickness.

Engine is back in and running. Hydr boost is great. The smf is a little noisy. Need to upgrade the turbo, Don't know what to do there. What I would like to do and what I can afford don't match up so I'll have to live with what I have for awhile. Thats my oil recovery tank worked good caught...

    Finally getting another engine

It was something I picked up in a trade a few years back. Don't know much about it but I like the configuration. As far as I can tell it is a Bobs Auto Engineering kit from way back. They are still around playing with turbos for gassers. Thanks! I like it also wish there was money in the...

I'm putting an intercooler in my '86 it is out of a 04? dodge. I did have to cut it down a little. The inlet and outlet are 3". I think I may be it the market for a different turbo sometime in the future. I would like to run 2.5" piping as that is what is on my intake hat and maybe a little...

    Finally getting another engine

So it's been a little while. Here are some updates. Got the engine together and ran it on the stand. Good thing there were a couple of water leaks that I fought with a little. Does anybody know which timing covers have the dimples stamped in around the water pump? One of mine did but to many...

    Finally getting another engine

I ended up just tapping it also. almost ready to start. A few fuel and return lines. I managed to put a hole in the radiator while it was sitting around got it soldered up sort of. The water pump gasket is leaking, I hope that it's the only leak. With any luck it will be ready to install by...

    Finally getting another engine

So this is the start if a rebuilt engine for my rig. I have been collecting parts and trying to decide what I was going to do for about 3 years now. So what I decided was 6.9 is the least expensive base engine for me to put together so I had a little left over for some of the extras I wanted...
