The one thing I liked about CDD was that you’re able to send your pump in and know that you’ll get it back in 10-12 weeks.

I really wanted one of the R&D pumps but anytime he puts them up for sale on his website they sell out in a few hours. And you can’t get on a waitlist or anything.

So far the CDD 110 pump has been great.

There is definitely a little tribalism in the IDI groups… I don’t have a favorite, but I’m just glad we have more than one option and there’s a few good shops still making stuff.

Please come back here and tell us how that Moose Junior works out for you!
I got one in October if last year for my 86 with turbo 7.3. It ran a bit funny at first, but after a couple thousand miles, I guess it ‘broke in’ and now it’s great!

I put one in my in laws truck with a set of Russ rebuilt injectors last spring, been fine the whole time. Cleared out the smokey exhaust from the tired setup.

I know you got it fixed, but the nice thing about being in that part of the country is there are still diesel shops around that actually know how to rebuild a mechanical injection pump properly as there are still a ton of tractors and farm trucks in service running them. Al's Diesel Injection in Grand Forks, ND was the place to go back when I lived up in NW MN when you needed pump work done. I am sure there is an equivalent shop or two out in Dickenson, Williston, or Glendive.
