This may be a dumb question but with everything checking out good, is there a possibility that the CPS or the idm may be bad? I dont see how it would have happened since it ran fine before I swapped the gem and now nothing works, even old gem. New known good computer, new fuse box, all good relays and fuses, all wiring looks to be good and power to pcm and grounds as well.. I just dont see where anything else could have went bad. All the symptoms go to the pcm circuit but the circuit all tests good...this is extremely frustrating and I dont want to keep throwing time and money to it unless I absolutely have to

A bad CPS will cause a no start, no tach situation. The fuel pump, WTS light and, glow plugs will work.

That's what I had thought which is why I havent replaced it yet. The odd part is that my cig lighter works, but no wts, fuel pump, or tach.. and all 4 are on the same circuit. However my "power point" doesnt work. Granted I really dont know that it did before these issues so who knows

As per your other thread, what wires were run to the gem by the previous owner? Maybe it was more than just the 4x4 control?

Have you tried removing the gem and seeing if it cranks with only the PCM installed?

The only wires they did were for the 4x4 switch. I have not tried without the gem, however it does turn over just fine I just have no start

Maybe another dumb question... but would the new pcm need "programmed" to my truck? I didnt think they did in e99

Well, as of right now, it's got new pcm, icp, cps, idm, under dash fuse box, all relays and fuses good, "correct" gem, new ignition switch as well. I dont want to keep throwing parts at it. But I honestly cant find any damn thing wrong with it. I've also cleaned every ground wire connection I can find with a wire wheel. Again, it cranks just fine, but no wts, fuel pump, or tach movement. Check engine light comes on and stays on also. Fuel bowl heater unplugged and ebpv unplugged as well as those are the 2 that will stop the computer from working. Doesnt make a difference. Not sure where to go from here

Aannnnddf the check engine light stopped working now too.. so apparently it is for sure a wiring issue

What are the 3 or 4 relays way behind the radio on the firewall dang near? I've got my whole dash apart right now tracing wiring and came across these. I thought the ones to the left of the radio were the ones everyone kept talking about near the radio but I apparently have 2 sets by the radio.
