Every Ford truck I've had got a Taurus dome light installed after my next junkyard trip. $4 and with some LEDs you can do surgery in there it's so bright!
Maybe someone fudged a digit on an order back in '79 and the factory found themselves stuck with 10,000,000 robot-face dome lights, and...
Oh, it is definitely broken, and all along the top also at the defroster vents. I tried retrofitting it with the pass side metal bracket from a junkyard donor, but I think it needs a whole new dash. I'm guessing that when every one of the mounts (top, sides and bottom) aren't broken, the dash...
RATTLE squeek RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE
OBS dashboards and also the little panels with the PW/L switches on the door panels. Structural plastic in general. The slant and brick I owned previously were dead quiet by comparison, but the OBS
I swapped my lights with some cheaper "OEM" style replacements and a homemade relayed harness. Lows are brighter than my '05 Chevy. Brights are brighter than the sun. Recommend.
Replaced the stupid rivet that held the driver-side power lock actuator in place (until it came apart last week) with a screw and nut. I did this without removing anything but the inside door panel. Pretty sure I'm some sort of magician now.
Dunno guys, after a quick search I can't find a single other GPD anywhere, if these are the only ones left $250 is a steal...better jump on it!
serious edit:
Before I understood how compression ignition worked, I was confused about glow plugs and what purpose they served. To those...
Sounds more like "So What Did Your Truck Do To You Today?" LOL
When the Ford gods demand a blood sacrifice, usually busted knuckles will suffice but sometimes they want a little extra...
If you tighten the hard inj line nuts to HAND tight you can crank in 10 sec intervals until you see fuel at the nuts. This will get the vast majority of air out. Tighten nuts down to proper torque and it should crank. As chris142 said it will run very rough for a few secs while it purges the...
Sounds like wires may be the cause. As I understand it, the resistance of the gp banks is important to the controller, and bad connections will confuse it. Your controller may be acting up but the wires need to be ruled out first.
I and many others here have made gp harnesses. For mine it was...
Power, so yeah manual may be different in the position of the handle. I would guess not, as the PW motor and regulator assembly is basically the same from 80-96. The PW switches require some splicing of course.
I had a set of bricknose panels on '84 doors, they work but a few strategically placed pan-head self-tappers were necessary. I think the armrest support is the same.
Well that tears it, somebody has to at least have some plans to launch an F-series for a future rally. I would give it a shot but for my lack of rocketry experience (OK, had a few Estes kits as a kid)...
