Manually unmounting tires
you just got to work little by little to get the tire over the rim. if you get too big of a bite, it'll be too hard to stretch over. get a little bit, then move 2 or 3 inches and work it over. leave a screw driver or something between the tire and rim so you dont lose your spot- DieselCowboy

Lay the tire on the ground and run it over with your truck. Try to get the edge of the tire as close to the unmounted wheel as possible so you can break the seal from tire to rim. I got it figured out. I actually did that before I tried to actually start it. I had a bad connection somewhere along the line. After I fixed that with a little puff of ether it fired right up. Loud as hell! And it smokes as much as every kid with a Cummins wants theirs to smoke! My problem now...- DieselCowboy

CB antennas on the mirrors

7.3 does everything but fire
I've got a 7.3 N/A sitting in a frame. Just trying to get it started to make sure all is well before I worry about anything else. It's cranking pretty well, just not firing. New Batteries, New Cables, Blead Lines, No Start
I'm having the same problem. I was running an alright battery with a junk battery the past couple days and it would crank fast the first few cranks, but then it would slow down. If it were your truck...
If you do your interior, I'd go with the vynal floor over carpet. Makes cleaning so much easier. I have the tan interior in my half ton and it cleans up really nice and it's hard to tell if it's dirty. I personally like pipe bumpers. Is it possible to use the flywheel from an 84 6.9 with an 89 7.3? I know the 7.3 has the DMF, but I dunno if that would make a difference or not?
