Long time no post! New baby is almost 1 consumes just about all of my free time.

This baby is getting dropped off at a buddies house for me next week, anyone know what the differences are with this 6bt from a Ram 6bt? Off the bat I can tell the intercooler and radiator are going to be way to huge for the Travelall.

Sidenote/ queation I'll probably need to make a different post for this one, anyone have any experience with the brake systems on these? If possible I'd like to bypass all of the electric/ air assisted brakes to drive it from said friends house to my home which is about 80+ miles.

If it's not going to cost me too much Id really like to shorten the F800 frame... The Travelall would be a tank on a 2+ ton frame

Looking forward to getting that project going and on the road asap October I'll get a couple solid weeks of work in on it then really hit it hard November- April

If you can get a photo of the data plate on the timing cover then we can decipher some things for you.

As far as I'm aware, all of the on road 6bts have similar lift pumps. But, the p7100 pumps vary greatly from application to application and even year models. So the data plate photo would help a lot.

Gotcha I was more concerned about inj pump, lift pump, anything that's going to hinder performance or my wallet:frustrate

Its probably not the coveted 215hp p-pump the last 12-valve Rams used, but more than adequate for a vehicle build, and typical performance mods. Its still a 'road' pump.

If you had sourced a stationary or marine engine.... whole different can of worms.

its just hydromax brakes with an electric motor for backup if the engien isn't running . front are just 2 piston calipers , rear are lucas girling drum brakes with a hydaulic realeased sprign chamber park brake. usually 2 Pumps on the engien, one is gear driven , other is belt driven. you can release the spring brake chambers manually by winding out the 3/4" head bolt on the end of the chamber. Ford used this system on b600-b800 school buses back into the early 80s if my brain is still working.

Do you know if your rig has 2 tubes coming out of the oil filter housing? Ive got one going to the turbo and the other one just ends with a fitting. I think theres supposed to be an oil pressure sensor on the end?

also I'm curious how your transmission mounts. My bus 5306 just has a front engine mount and two bellhousing mounts. I want to make trans mission mounts using the 3 bosses on the drivers side and 2 on the passenger side. Problem is theyre arent drilled or tapped. Im wondering what size threads and how deep they are tapped from the factory. Thanks for any help you can offer.
