Hi Gang!
Pardon my ignorance, but since the kent-moore meters are scarce and Ferret is belly up, is there any other new production equipment that is capable of timing the idi? Affordable? As much as I enjoy spending time with Corey, the six hour trip is a bit of a pita, to say nothing of when I'm on bfe island Florida...

Rents meters.
Look at the timing registry.
The k.m. Is still in production (?j33300A?)
Look for the A...
There is some talk of alternative meters here but most land on k.m.

So the Kent Moore is still in production and available new from Bosch? I'll bet it costs more than I could afford...
Is the j3300a the only KM unit that works for the idi and still has support?

We also rent timing equipment, which is from Snap-on. It's the only manufacture of a line clamp setup currently that I am aware of.

A while back, someone posted that there's an adapter that's similar to the Ferret. The brand is Actron. The part # is CP7529. Auto Zone sells it for $100. You'll still need to buy the timing light that works with it.

My apologies again. It's Gunson 77089. I wrote it down to check out later and couldn't read my own writing. It was in a post from June 7 called Timing. Amazon has them listed for just over $100. Right next to an Innova timing light for just under $100.
