Replacement Windshield wiper arms?

LONG-SHOT ALERT!
The springs are fatigued on the 93, knowing china replacements are gunna suck' and not looking forward to refitting new springs to the oem stockers....
Who makes the best replacements?
Already reararched the arms to resemble a banana.

Remove spring.

Cut end off just at curve where connects to ARM...long straight portion

Bend new curved end

GOOD LUCK ATTEMPTING RECONNECT TO WIPER ARM

I retrofitted both my bricknose truck with hooked wiper arms (versus the pins) with arms from Autozone. Could've just been because the pin ones where older, but they work very well. And I have the Bosch mono blade thingies on the Enterprise and they don't miss.

Not to state the obvious.... but have you checked with Ford????

My 2000 P71 Crown Victoria had both wiper arms damaged when I bought it (they are the older design where the park "under" the hood and can get fouled with ice and snow). Went to the local Ford dealer and Ford still sells them. The driver side was less than $30 and the passenger was less than $50. Since this is a safety thing, I didn't bat an eye to buy the "correct" ones from the dealer. Mine were bad enough that only the last inch or so, on each end would touch. The entire center wouldn't even come close.......

This is one area of my truck that I really dislike working. It hurts my back to stand in the doorway and reach out trying to remove the arms from the drive coming out or the cowl valance.. That tiny little lever under the arm gives my fits. Do yourself a favor if you remove the complete arm and wiper blades to work on the replacement. Apply a little anti seize to that end so the next time they come off easier.

I second this. I'm a bit smaller/lighter so I usually end up using the tire as a step and climbing on top of the hood and pulling the arms off. Putting them back on may take some trial and error to get them to lay the same way on both sides and not smack the trim at high speed.

Did not call em yet, just came home from the coast and they were a skipping like a schoolgirl.

I tried removing mine once. I gave up. Wasn't that important anyways.
I just wish there was a normal flip up option. Like for snow/ice.

I bought a set from 1A auto (eBay) to retrofit to hook style. Can't comment on quality really yet. They feel and look about the same.

If you pull the latch and let the arm back down, the latch will hold the arm up.....

One time where being tall really is nice. I can stand on the ground and reach the wipers........

True. Mine the latches took a lot of force to break free.
