Like already stated, change engine oil and filter. I would even pull glowers out and spray a good dose of penetrant oil down each hole and let her sit overnight. Crank for 10-15 seconds the next day, reinstall plugs and see how she runs.
As far as Auto-RX is concerned, use it or don't. Believe what you wish and buy whichever oil you want. I did use a hefty dose of the stuff about 10k miles ago. Decreased oil consumption from 3qt every 3k to 1qt between oil changes. If you keep up on maintenance and oil changes, I don't see a reason for needing it. But most of us buy these trucks used and many owners fail to perform regular maintenance on our rigs. But hey, maybe my observation with decreased oil consumption was "all in my head".

if I put anything in the crankcase oil , it is a product called Essentialube made by Hydrotex. I know it works to clean gum and varnish.
A customer of a shop I started in had a 200 ford with a very sticky lifter, poured in 6 oz and in 10 minutes it got quiet, we changed the oil after 500 miles as it was cleaning it up and getting very icky. I have used it many times on various things and it has worked almost everytime.

Only Reason I would use it is if it sounds like it has a sticking lifter
I know nothing about this engine other than the owners word.

I would suggest triflow over wd-40 for unsticking rings... I don't use wd-40 for anything. Sure triflow costs more but it actually works through the rust and prevents it too :D. It is a real lubricant, WD is a water displacer. They both are described similarly, but in the past I have had better luck with triflow than WD. To each their own

You've never heard this engine run, stop trying to fix problems that don't exist. No, Auto-RX does not help with blow by. There is no proof of this what so ever. You don't even know if your engine has a blow by problem! I'll bet any threads you find here about Auto-RX are very old and outdated, people blindly believed in this product a few years ago, they do not anymore. Sales have gone down tremendously. No IDI experts will tell you to use it, nobody in this thread is.

As always, Auto-RX is a problem looking for a solution. If it was any good the owner wouldn't be filling bottles in his garage.

Yes I haven't heard it run but it's been sitting 7 years so yeah I'm going to run some kind of cleaner rather it be Marvel Mystery Oil Or Auto-RX Oh and yes it's been proven that it helped by forum members. Guess there Lying Too huh?
This isn't about BlowBy for my engine only as a cleaner.

It's not been "proven" by anybody. Some guy on the internet said it works and you blindly believe him. He has no evidence he can show to to support his statements. You only take the advice you want to hear on this forum, I'm not sure why you bother asking anything.

When people spend $30 on a bottle of ********, they want it to work really really bad. In most circumstances, people report an improvement, even when there is not one. Just like the analogy I used above about your truck running better after you wash it. I sold $20 boat bilge blowers for $99 and people loved those too, everybody said they worked great. They were all wrong!! You sound like you would have been one of my customers...

It's "been proven" that Auto-RX is a scam, and the owner/operator pays people to post false positive reviews on forums, and had to change the name of his company to avoid getting sued. If this product is so great why doesn't autozone or anybody else sell it? If this product is so great why did they have to remove the money back guarantee? It's bottled by some dufus in a townhouse garage! These are actual proven facts! I have had several conversations with the owner, Frank Miller, personally, and let me assure you, he is nothing but a piece of trash that wants to steal your money. He knows his product is worthless.

Further, just because it has been sitting for 7 years does not mean you need a cleaner in the engine! If it runs fine you do not need anything!! Just a few days ago I put a quart of oil in my engine that was 10 years old, it's been sealed the whole time, there was nothing wrong with it. Most other cleaners, especially marvel mystery oil, simply thin your oil, and this is really really bad for your bearings. Just because somebody used it once and their engine still works doesn't mean anything. Would you willingly add a quart of gasoline to your motor oil? That's about the same as adding any other bogus cleaning product that you don't need.

Once again, you do not own this forum, you do not get to say where I can and can't post.

This is the same as your last useless thread. Multiple people give you advice, and then you ignore it and post your own. Are you just here to talk to yourself?

Mmo is long used for putting in cylinders of a engine that has been sitting.
Since wd40 won't work, would pb blaster?

Oh, and I guess fuel additive is useless also then.....

It's a great idea in the cylinders. Not such a great idea in the crankcase.

Plenty of fuel additives work great, this is a totally different system than the oil system. There are oil additives that can be useful as well, just not Auto-RX. And you don't need any additives anywhere if you haven't found any problems yet...

Also, the current state of pump diesel fuel is so bad thanks to the EPA that it is literally damaging to our injection pumps without some kind of lube. They were not designed to run on that fuel.

I've used Mmo in just about everything from a fuel additive to a penetrating oil
Since it's cheaper I'm thinking I'll use that in the oil and to Lub the top end.
